Description

Merry Hill is one of the most successful shopping centres in the UK, serving a trade area of over 1.6 million people including the affluent areas of Worcestershire, South Staffordshire and Shropshire.

The complex includes an Odeon cinema, external retail park and over 7,200 car parking spaces. In addition, the nearby Waterfront provides office accommodation and an exciting mix of restaurants and bars, creating a vibrant social destination throughout the day and into the night.

Merry Hill was recently transformed through a comprehensive enhancement scheme which included the introduction of full height shop fronts and contemporary bulkheads. This exciting new environment for over 250 retailers has also been complemented by the opening of Eat Central – a spectacular 1,200 seat Food Court offering 19 places to dine in a contemporary environment.

Excellent accessibility ensures that the centre attracts customers from further distances. Merry Hill’s Urban Regional Mall classification is reflected in long dwell times and high spend by visitors from further away. The percentage of visitors coming from the tertiary catchment is increasing significantly year on year.

Location

Merry Hill and The Waterfront are situated in the heart of the Black Country, just 16km west of Birmingham. The centre is easily accessible by car, just 8km from the M5. The centre is close to Sandwell & Dudley rail station, which offers a regular direct train service to London in just 1 hour 38 minutes.
